'Anti-terror' raids in Urewera

'Anti-Terror' Raids In Urewera.

On the 15th of October 2007, eighteen people were arrested for raiding a weapons-training camp. A man named Iti was taken to trail along with three others on February 2012, but the jury couldn't decide on the former charge, but all four were found guilty. In 2013 the Independent Police Conduct Authority found out that  the police had frightened and intimidated people during the raids. A year later in 2013, Mike Bush, a Police Commissioner apologised for what he had done.
